"To have the whole of Elland Road cheering me on was absolutely magical" - Luke Humphries lives out a boyhood dream at Leeds United

Luke Humphries was beaming after he got to take a lap of honour, showing off the Sid Waddell Trophy at Elland Road, the home of his favourite football team, Leeds United.

Humphries paraded around the pitch at halftime of the match between Leeds and Preston North End, last Sundayi. Afterwards, he looked back on the unique moment with Leeds United TV.

“I’m actually out of breath. Honestly my arms are hutting so bad. It was amazing, that was a moment I’ve been really looking forward to after I won it. To have the whole of Elland Road cheering me on was absolutely magical," said 'Cool Hand Luke'.

“I was supposed to be called Liam but my dad saw someone else call their kid the same Luke. He gave me that name. What better thing but to be named after a football club,” concluded the world champion.
