Van Barneveld definitely qualified for World Grand Prix

Raymond van Barneveld will make his appearance at the World Grand Prix in October. Even before the start of the Hungarian Darts Trophy, the last tournament in the qualifying race, he is certain of placement.

Van Barneveld himself will not participate in the Euro Tour tournament in Budapest and could theoretically still be caught up by several players prior to the draw of the Hungarian Darts Trophy. However, all competitors entered the same section of the draw, which means Van Barneveld is now definitely seeded.

From 2006 to 2018, Van Barneveld competed in the World Grand Prix every year. The five-time world champion managed to reach the final of this major tournament in 2008 and 2009.

The World Grand Prix is a unique event on the PDC's darts calendar. Not only does the tournament have a set format, but the legs must be started with a double.
