Dimitri van den Bergh claimed the World Matchplay title and among other accolades, he has become the first World Youth Champion ever to win a ranking TV title.
Van den Bergh is of course a two time World Youth Champion and as a result was imparted that brilliant statistic with Michael Smith in particular yet to win one.
He was originally the 7th player from continental Europe to reach a ranking final in the PDC; in victory became the 1st new continental winner of a ranking TV title since 2012 with Michael van Gerwen the last new winner.
