The
World Series of Darts touches down in Oceania this month. First stop is the New Zealand Masters, a tournament taking place Friday and Saturday in Hamilton.
Dimitri Van den Bergh will take on Haupai Puha in the first round. "Once again I got the honor to be here so I am very chuffed.
"Someone has to play really well to beat me so I'm just focused on that I know I'm playing well and if they want to beat me they have to play 100+ average. I know if they don't turn up, I've always got a big chance to win. That's how I feel," he said.
"Lately I've been running into guys finishing amazing and with 100+ average or an MVG who has been playing the highest he has in five or six years but I'm in good form, good spirits. Nothing to worry."
Belief in one's own ability
Van den Bergh won two World Series of Darts tournaments last year (Nordic Darts Masters and Dutch Darts Masters). "It's all about getting higher in the rankings and you want to win majors again. You want to be a winner. It's time to get that extra step."
