Van den Bergh on move to Leicester: “It’s all about hoping to take it to the next level”

Dimitri Van den Bergh recently moved in with Damon Heta in Leicestershire and will seemingly in short term at least raise his family in England as he becomes a father for the first time in late 2021.

Van den Bergh sat down with The Darts Show for an At Home with Dimi and Damon feature and discussed the move.

“It’s all about the career, it’s all about hoping to take it to the next level and trying to reach my potential. I’ve travelled the last five or six years from Belgium for the tournaments and it’s a lot of travelling you have to do,” said Van den Bergh

“It’s not that I feel that I must it’s just I love it so much that I’ll never even think of doing a different job.”

But who wins most of the practice games, Heta spoke on that and also the confidence Dimi gives him.

“I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, we’re about even, let’s go with that. But for me, I will take more confidence out of that than he will,” said Heta.
