Van der Voort wants turnaround after poor start to season: "Coming weeks to put everything in place"

For Vincent van der Voort, 2023 has not been a success for the time being. However, the 47-year-old Dutchman is working hard to turn the tide.

Van der Voort was active last weekend in Hildesheim at Players Championships 7 and 8. However, it did not become a success. "No, it indeed did not go well," Van der Voort told Toto Dart Kings. "I only managed to win one match, fortunately I was able to qualify for the Czech Darts Open."

This year hasn't gone too well for Van der Voort for now. "What's the reason? I don't know, but try to turn it around as soon as possible. It happened more often in the past that I didn't play so well at the beginning of the season. But now there are a lot of tournaments and you should just get into your rhythm. The next two weeks I don't have any tournaments and I'm going to take it all in."

Good result

Van der Voort is pretty bullish about it. "You have to get busy," he said. "I feel I can do better, but it has to come out sometime. I need a good result that gives me some extra confidence again."
