Dirk van Duijvenbode has qualified for the last sixteen at the
Dutch Darts Championship. Aubergenius beat Northern Irishman Mickey Mansell in the second round 6-4.
"It's a combination of joy and relief", Van Duijvenbode opens to TOTO Dart Kings. "You certainly don't want to lose your first match in front of your own audience. He stayed in the lead for a long time and I got a bit nervous towards the end, because you really want to win. Especially since there were a lot of friends and family in the room."
Quarter-finals
Van Duijvenbode is now in the top sixteen of the world ranking list. "Every tournament I want to reach at least the quarterfinals. I'm not as good as Michael van Gerwen though, that I can say I want to win every tournament."
In the last sixteen, Van Duijvenbode meets Englishman Dave Chisnall. "He is not in top form lately, but it will be a tough match. Although I do think I'm the better player."
