Saturday night is the final of the Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place at Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands this year. It is as a result, a nice moment to find out which darts players recorded a song in the past.
In the archives we found five videos in which one or more players recorded a song. Which darts player has the most singing talent according to you?
1 Raymond van Barneveld, Vincent van der Voort, Co Stompé and Rick Hofstra with 'Ik richt mijn pijlen op Oranje' (I aim my arrows on Orange) In the run-up to the European Championship in 2004, Raymond van Barneveld, Vincent van der Voort, Co Stompé and Rick Hofstra recorded the song 'Ik richt mijn pijlen op Oranje'.
Years later, this song appeared during a broadcast of RTL7Darts, to the hilarity of presenter Koert Westerman. Van der Voort seemed not to like it that much. His face was full of shame.
2 Adrian Lewis with 'Angels' Two-time champion Adrian Lewis was invited to an exhibition event in Wednesbury, England. Lewis surprised the crowd by not only throwing darts but also taking the microphone and performing Robbie Williams' song Angels.
During the Dutch Darts Masters 2015 in Venray, there was also a double role for Stephen Bunting. The Englishman participated in that tournament as a darts player, but in between he also showed his singing talent by singing the song 'Gold' from Spandau Ballet.
4 Raymond van Barneveld (and Rapper Donnie) with '180 Linkerbaan' (180 left lane)
In 2017, Rapper Donnie and Raymond van Barneveld's duet was released. The song '180 Linkerbaan' was actually an ode by Donnie to his good friend Barney, who himself sang along in the choruses of the song.
5 Jerry Hendriks with 'Laat De Zon In Je Hart' (Let The Sun In Your Heart) That Jerry Hendriks likes to create a bit of atmosphere, we saw during his last performance at the 2017 PDC World Championship. Earlier, during an exhibition tournament in the Netherlands, Electric himself provided the music by singing the song 'Laat De Zon In Je Hart'.
