James Wade breezed through against Rowby-John Rodriguez in a real masterclass of finishing from 'The Machine' to set up a tie against Rob Cross in the next round of the
Grand Slam of Darts.
"I think I did just enough. I was quite fortunate he didn't score so well against me so onwards and upwards and look forward to the next one," he said on Sky Sports post match.
But he also revealed he has been plagued this week with a foot injury which he is looking to get sorted as soon as possible.
"If you've ever had gout, you'll understand what it is. I'm in absolute agony but it is what is and move on."
"I'm not too worried about the game (against Cross), I just want to get myself sorted and try and do something with my foot. Maybe cut it off I don't know," he joked.
