Women's World Matchplay 2024 qualifying race: Fallon Sherrock and Beau Greaves in tight battle for 'top seed'

The PDC has one major television tournament for ladies with the Women's World Matchplay. Through the Women's Series circuit, eight ladies can qualify for this event.

The last 12 Women's Series tournaments of 2023 and the first 12 Women's Series tournaments of 2024 will count in the qualifying race for the Women's World Matchplay.

After last tournament weekend, Fallon Sherrock is the new front-runner in the qualifying race. She currently stands at 15,600 pounds in prize money. Her rival Beau Greaves follows close behind with 15,500 pounds. Close behind, Mikuru Suzuki is the number three with 8100 pounds. Lisa Ashton is the number four with 6400 pounds, while Noa-Lynn van Leuven is with 5000 pounds, in spot five.

Completing the top eight are Rhian O'Sullivan (4800 pounds), Anastasia Dobromyslova (4300 pounds) and Aiofe McCormack (3300 pounds). The battle for the final spot in particular looks to be an exciting one. Number nine Natalie Gilbert is also at 3300 pounds, while behind her there are a couple of ladies close behind.

There are eight more Women's Series tournaments to be played prior to the Women's World Matchplay. Four tournaments will be played in Wigan on April 20 and 21, after which the ladies will have to go to Wigan again on June 15 and 16 for the final four tournaments in the qualifying race.
