Wright disappointed with performance despite Cross win: "I just wish I could play consistent"

Peter Wright came from 5-3 down to produce a comeback win over Rob Cross to diminish the charge of 'Voltage' who has been playing well during the first Premier League block.

Wright spoke afterwards and was disappointed with his display despite victory and by his own admission, some good parts to his game.

"I just wish I could play consistent and play some proper darts. There was a couple of bits where it was, some nice scoring but it wasn't great. Past couple nights, I've been watching Rob (Cross) and he's been playing some decent darts and obviously he didn't turn up tonight so I managed to get on top of him," said Wright post match to Sky Sports.

He also discussed his so-called 'wobbly darts' which came out of the case once more with the ever tinkering Snakebite explaining why.

"They've been in my case for ages and it's just like I got here tonight, I hadn't thrown them in years. I just thought I'll have a throw with them."
