Jeffrey de Zwaan is set to make his World Grand Prix appearance on Sunday evening. The Black Cobra already arrived on Thursday in Dublin as he played two Pro Tour events prior to the Sky Sports event.

The Dutchman reached the third round on Friday, while he lost in the first round on Saturday. The former World Matchplay semi-finalist doesn't want to be bothered by that for a long time'', he said in an interview with Dartsnews.
''It was mainly a preparation for the World Grand Prix. Try to find a good form to take with you, going into that tournament. But then I have to improve. Friday went decent, Saturday was not good on my side.''
The two-time PDC ranking event winner will face Steve Beaton in the first round. De Zwaan can rely on a good record against the Bronzed Adonis. He won all five of their five previous meetings. If De Zwaan survives his opening tie, he will meet Michael van Gerwen or Jamie Hughes in the second round.
''It's a decent draw, although they can all play darts and there is no easy draws anymore. But I know I have a good record against Steve'', he said.
De Zwaan therefore seems to be the favourite to reach the second round. He has no problems with a favourite role, although The Black Cobra prefers to be the underdog. "Then people expect less of you, while you are able to create an upset.''
The World Grand Prix is the start of the business end of the season, with several televised events on the schedule. The coming months are all about one big goal for the Dutchman.
''I want to get into the top 20 of the PDC Order of Merit. A good result at the World Championship can help with that, as that tournament has a big influence on the world ranking. That would make it easier to reach the top 20.''
