Titles for Johnson, Ashton and Landman in Northern Ireland

Last weekend, two WDF tournaments were played in Newry, Northern Ireland. The titles went to Darren Johnson, Lisa Ashton (twice) and Chris Landman.

On Saturday, the Northern Ireland Open was on the schedule. The men's title went to Darren Johnson, who was too strong for Nick Kenny (5-4) in the final. Lisa Ashton won the women's tournament at the expense of Lorraine Hyde.

A day later, Ashton was also the best in the women's tournament of the Northern Ireland Matchplay. In that final, she beat Lorraine Winstanley 5-3. Chris Landman triumphed in the men's tournament by defeating Shaun Griffiths in the final match.
