WDF Ranking Women's Update: Beau Greaves still leads by a wide margin despite Dutch Open disappointment

Beau Greaves had to swallow disappointment last weekend when she was eliminated in the semifinals of the Dutch Open Darts by Rhian O'Sullivan. Nonetheless, Greaves is still comfortably in first place with 1453 points.
This still leaves Greaves well ahead of number two O'Sullivan, who took the title at the Dutch Open in Assen. The Welsh player is now in second place with 1016 points.
Lerena Rietbergen is after her final defeat at the Dutch Open against O'Sullivan is in third place. She leaves behind Lorraine Hyde (fourth), Deta Hedman (fifth) and Aileen de Graaf (sixth).
Only Rietbergen and De Graaf of the top six aren't yet qualified for Lakeside with Nicole Regnaud, Jitka Cisarova, Irina Armstrong and Joanne Hadley finalizing the top 10.
O'Sullivan herself managed to qualify for Lakeside by winning the title this past weekend and admitted afterwards she wasn't sure what her next step was. She sits well placed in the rankings and is set to play PDC Women's Series.
This is like most players but O'Sullivan said she will likely keep playing to keep her arm in. Greaves also is an intriguing proposition as she could yet play ProTour darts in the PDC leading the Challenge Tour so may have a multitude of decisions to make as well as through the Women's Series. But despite defeat, she still leads as the top female darts players in the world currently.

- Likewise, I have always been a fan of Mervyn and with this worry on his mind, it explains why his form and ranking plummeted. It is really sad to hear this, often chatted to Mervyn and Tracey during the Lakeside days, both are lovely people. It does seem naive not acknowledging the fact it was earnings, surely there must be others in the same situation. - What’s with the dogs element to this story, trying to pull at the heart strings? Just goes to show that being a good dart player does not equate to being that bright. Seriously, ‘I thought you didn’t have to pay tax on winnings’ , your a pro dart player and its your line of work, your not playing the lottery or placing a bet. I think it was Phil Taylor who said you should put a third to one side of all winnings into a bank account, obviously Merv was wearing his earplugs at the time.Mysstree10-03-2025
- The thing is... the folks who "humiliated" Taylor in the Seniors Events never really achieved anything in the important events - like Taylor did. Taylor had/has nothing to prove... and beating Taylor after he had retired is of zero value. Taylor in his prime would have made easy work of all of them. Cheers.MrYnyslas197107-03-2025
