World Seniors Darts Tour set to increase prize money, World Championship field with additional fourth TV major also set

With the first three World Seniors Darts Tour (WSDT) TV tournaments taking place in the form of the World Championship, World Masters and World Matchplay, a fourth will be added for 2023 as part of a raft of additions announced this past weekend in Hull.

As well as a new tournament, the prize money will be increased to a total of £200,000, with the World Championship which will take place in February set to feature 32 players and will expand as a result.

In addition, there has been more incentives added to those playing in the open tournaments with Super Saturday taking place which features £1000 for the winner.

So far, the tournaments have been dominated largely by Robert Thornton who has won the World Championship and World Matchplay with David Cameron sealing the World Masters at the Lakeside.
