Van der Voort will join in the position of non-executive director for the European region in a move that will see MAD attempt to grow in Europe under the guidance of the Dutch Destroyer.
He is well known for being a straight talker but also respected in the game which made him an ideal appointment for MAD.
There are an estimated 100,000 players in the Netherlands alone and Van der Voort will aim to shape MAD to the European market.
He will focus on building relationships with individuals and organisations across the Benelux and is excited to start.
"When I first heard about MAD it was really interesting to me as they seemed very different from all the old organisations, I loved playing darts in leagues and the NDB so I'm really looking forward to helping darts grow in the Netherlands and beyond." said Van der Voort.
