Matt Clark opened up a new season of
MODUS Super Series action winning on the Saturday night to book his spot at Champions Week.
It is the third time in a row that he has qualified for Champions Week, with Wayne Jones disposed of in the final 4-2 with an 89 average.
He started off the night flawless in his group seeing off Jamie Kelling 4-1 and Mark Dudbridge 4-3. Jones and Tommy Morris were the players to get out of their groups.
Clark faced off against Morris in the opening semi-final and won 4-2, while Jones eased past Jamie Kelling 4-1. Before they faced off in the final which 'Superman' won. He takes home £5,000 and the chance to play Champions Week.
Each cycle of the MODUS Super Series consists of thirteen weeks. Each week a new competition begins and the twelve weekly winners meet in the thirteenth week of play. Six finalists emerge from three different groups, so during a Saturday night like Clark, they will compete for the title during the fifth season of the MODUS Super Series.
