Kim Huybrechts speaks about drawing James Richardson in round 1 - 'He's a tough customer, a fighter'

Kim Huybrechts spoke to Dartsnieuws.com in an exclusive interview with the Belgian ahead of the World Championship starting this week and among the topics they discussed was his first round tie with James Richardson a previous giant killer on the Alexandra Palace stage and 'The Hurricane' is wary of that.
His English opponent made a successful comeback on the PDC Tour in 2016, after gaining recognition in 2012 by sending Raymond van Barneveld 3-0 in sets in the first round of the World Cup. Huybrechts has been warned about the qualities of Richardson.
"He's a tough customer, a fighter," Huybrechts says about his upcoming opponent. "It is a draw that could have been better, but also much worse. You can stand 2-0 in sets against James, but then he will not give up. "
"If I play my own game, it should not be a problem in principle. But if you do not, you have a problem because James remains a class darter. It is a fair player and has a nice rhythm, so I expect it to be a nice match. "
