Michael van Gerwen had a 108 average in a 5-2 victory over Joe Murnan to finish top of the group and despite being through he didn't give Shaggy a shot at glory.
As a result he completed a clean sweep in the tournament and made it 17 in a row on TV after losses at the Grand Prix to John Henderson and his early exit at the Champions League of Darts and in this win it makes him the man to beat for definite with Taylor, Van Barneveld, Anderson and maybe even the other man in his group having something to say about that.

PDC brushed aside Ross Montgomery who blew hot and cold but will go home happy after a pretty good effort. Cross though did enough showing brilliance at times including a 164 finish to put the icing on the cake and secure a 5-2 victory in a winner takes all scenario.
