Rob Cross has continued his brilliant first year on the tour making the Quarter-Finals of the Grand Slam. Awaiting him is the man he has only ever beaten once and is someone who always has brilliant games with the former electrician and that is Michael van Gerwen.
Tonight he defeated another Dutch maestro in the form of Raymond van Barneveld who he defeated in a thrilling contest to round off the night at the Wolves Civic.
He ended up winning 10-7 with his current run of form showing no sign of letting up and especially with 'Voltage' number 1 seed at the Players Championship Finals he could be in with a real chance of winning his first major title in the next 3 tournaments (Grand Slam, PC Finals and World Championship). He averaged 103.87 against Barney and hit five 180's in one of his best performances to date.
