Ross Montgomery has taken aim at the BDO governing body ahead of Lakeside beginning this weekend.

In an interview with the Daily Record, 'The Boss' admitted that the Grand Slam was an eye opener for him in terms of how badly the BDO is ran compared to the PDC. That while the lead organisation seems to be taking massive strides forward it's the opposite for the BDO.
He doesn't 'think it's got long left. In his opinion, it’s set to crumble, he is afraid to say. He puts it down to 'poor marketing' and that the board of directors are constantly 'bickering'.
He also spoke about speculation over the future of Lakeside with there being rumors of lakeside being the last one to be held at Frimley Green. 'The Boss' has said that it is wrong that the players are the last to know these things.
The Scot spoke about how players are now missing out on the BDO and going straight to the PDC. He has said that 'that’s where they should be going. That they are attracted by the way the game is portrayed at the PDC. He even admitted “If I was 15 years younger I would move to the PDC.'
Finally he has pre-empted rumors of players switching to the PDC at the start of this year. Especially with the entry fees not being in play anymore. He said “There are a lot of players in the BDO who could do very well in the PDC and I think we’ll see that this year when a lot of them move over.''
