The fifth night of the 2019 Premier League Darts will be played in Aberdeen in Thursday evening. For Michael van Gerwen it's a return to the city where he hit a world record in 2016.

The world number one produced a stunning 123.40 average in his match against Michael Smith. This performance is till known as the highest televised average ever in darts.
Van Gerwen hit two 10-dart legs, two 11-dart legs and two 12-dart legs to lead 6-0 in just seven minutes. The Dutchman averaged 136.64 at that time.
'Mighty Mike' missed three match-darts in the seventh leg to finish the match with a 130+ average and was punished for this as Smith took out 116 to claim his first leg. Van Gerwen finished the game with a 16-darter, which brought his average to 123.40.
