Van Gerwen on claiming third World Championship with win over Smith: ‘It means the world to me’

Van Gerwen spoke afterwards and said that it means the world to him to win it back after what has been at times a poor 2018. He also predicted that his opponent Smith would take the crown at some point in the future calling him a phenomenal player.
