Askew completes Overall and Group win double to end final day of Icons of League Week Two

Askew finished the day on six points overall with three wins and a defeat which came in his first match of the day against Paul Nicholson.

Nicholson going into the final game was the only player who could defeat Askew but the former needed to win with a whitewash win to harbour any chances of claiming a third group win of the week which handed it to him.

It has been a great week for the son of 'Diamond' Dave Askew and now it will be interesting to see if he goes down a similar route as David Evans and Wessel Nijman in playing in A Night At The Darts next week.

The Icons of Darts League is a competition that runs on 24 different days from Monday April 6 through to Saturday May 2. Each playing week consists of six players. There are five players on each matchday with one player taking a rest.

Each day consists of four matches for each player with the player with the most wins claiming the group win for that day.
