Aspinall looking for improvement after Durrant win in Dublin: “I want to build on this”

Nathan Aspinall was top of the Premier League table for a short time last night after a brilliant victory over Glen Durrant in Dublin.
This 7-5 win goes alongside his triumph against Michael van Gerwen last week and afterwards he was pleased with his performance but still wants to improve.
"I'm a happy guy," said Aspinall. "The start wasn't good but Glen let me off with some missed doubles. The 129 was a massive shot and I knew it, and in patches I played well.
"I've never played well against Glen but I had a bit of luck tonight at crucial times and I got the job done. I'm in a good position at the moment and I want to build on this."
Aspinall added: "The crowd were phenomenal tonight and it was an absolutely brilliant atmosphere."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
