Jonny Clayton for a second consecutive year defeated Michael van Gerwen at The
Masters to hand the now World Number Two another lack lustre start to his season.
Clayton spoke afterwards and said he could sense Van Gerwen wasn't right due to him shaking his head and that he knew it was potentially his to take as a result.
"I think it was the first three or four legs, I could see Michael (van Gerwen) shaking his head a lot so I was just thinking this could be the day and it did turn out to be," said Clayton post match.
"Whoever you play against if you've beaten them, it's obviously a little easier the next time. I'm playing well, my confidence is high and we can all throw good darts."
"The world knows what Michael can do and I was thinking please keep straight, just keep calm and I got over the finishing line and that's all that counts."
