Clayton up to second on European Tour Order of Merit after Graz triumph

Jonny Clayton has made a big jump on the Euro Tour Order of Merit following his title at the Austrian Darts Open. 'The Ferret' started the tournament as number 12 in the rankings, but shot up to second place after collecting the top prize of £30,000.

Gerwyn Price still comfortably holds first place. The Welshman was missing in Austria and also misses the next three Euro Tour tournaments. Behind the two Welshmen, Michael Smith and Dave Chisnall are the first pursuers.

Michael van Gerwen, semi-finalist at the Austrian Darts Open, rose to seventh position, passing compatriot Danny Noppert. 'The Freeze' reached the quarter-finals in Premstätten, but nevertheless dropped to eighth place.

At the end of the season, the 32 best players in the final rankings will compete in the European Championship in Dortmund. This tournament is scheduled from 26 to 29 October.
