Cross continues fine form with Kleermaker win, Razma dumps out Searle and Van Veen edges Double Dutch duel with Noppert

Saturday's action continues at the European Darts Grand Prix with a reversal of sorts in the seeded players winning through with Rob Cross the only latest seed to move into the final day in Sindelfingen.

Cross had a scrappy end to the tie against Martijn Kleermaker missing multiple match darts before finally getting over the line, but he sealed it with a 97 average 6-2. This with a high checkout of 121 and three 180's for 'Voltage' as he continued his fine form as of late.

Ryan Searle again was defeated with 'Heavy Metal' having a horror show on the doubles which enabled swift progression from Madars Razma with the Latvian sealing it 6-1 with a 95 average and 66% on the doubles. This compared to a woeful 1/13 from Searle.

But Gian van Veen continued his superb form as he saw off Danny Noppert in a Double Dutch duel. He is through to the last 16 of a European Tour for the first time after a 6-4 win over his compatriot.

Van Veen has caught the eye with a superb year so far and produced a solid display averaging 98.5, hitting five 180's as well as a 170 checkout in a showstopping element to the tie.
