Joe Cullen has sealed his 10th PDC senior title and back-to-back Players Championship crowns after sweeping aside Dimitri van den Bergh 8-1 in Wigan.
Cullen averaged 102, hit 8/13 on the doubles and despite zero 180's was truly clinical as he sealed four breaks of throw.
This comes after winning on Saturday as well as his Masters triumph and reaching the final of night two of Premier League Darts.
'The Rockstar' continues to show why he is one of the best players on planet darts right now.
Cullen took out 104 on double 13 to break throw after losing the bull. It was back-to-back ton plus checkouts as he pinned 121.
Van den Bergh finally got on the board on double 18 but this was only a hold as Cullen continued to pressure. ‘The Dreammaker’ missed the chance to break and Cullen took out 67 for a 3-1 lead.
He hit 137 to leave 40 with Van den Bergh not on a finish. He missed two darts for a double break but Van den Bergh missed a chance to capitalise and Cullen came back for double 10 to go 4-1 up.
He left 36 to go 5-1 up with a hold of throw and Cullen was romping into the distance. Van den Bergh continued to miss darts and Cullen pinned double eight to go 6-1 up. He was throwing for a 7-1 lead to go one away.
A 110 checkout saw him seal that. A 140 left him on 127 on Van den Bergh’s throw forcing the Belgian to take out 128 with a set up of 65 only left allowing Cullen back for 127 which saw him seal it on the bull.
