Gerwyn Price has claimed the weekly title in Dublin. 'The Iceman' managed to win over Nathan Aspinall in the final of the third week of play of the 2025 Premier League Darts. Both men managed to reach their first final of the Premier League season in Ireland.

In recent weeks, we have seen more and more glimpses of the old-fashioned Price. The Welshman also recently managed to win a Players Championship tournament, which was his first ranking title since late 2023. In Dublin, the former world champion qualified for the weekly final by beating Luke Littler (6-4) and Luke Humphries (6-3). At the other end of the bracket, Aspinall became the finalist after victories over Rob Cross (6-3) and Michael van Gerwen (6-3). For Van Gerwen, it was his third consecutive week of losing in the semifinals.

In the final, Aspinall's tank seemed somewhat empty, failing to exceed a 90.83 average. Price countered that with a 100.57 average, while he also had a 50 percent finish percentage.

Aspinall did take a 1-0 lead early in the match via a 17-darter, but an 11-darter and a 120 finish saw Price take the lead. The former rugby player missed three chances to double the lead and saw Aspinall score 2-2 via double 6. For a moment, Aspinall could still hope for a victory after taking a 3-2 lead, but Price came back to 3-3 with a 14-darter and then retook the lead with a 13-darter.

Price then fired a 14-darter in the eighth leg to take the weekly title. Price then finished the job decisively with a 13-darter. With this title, Price has moved up to second place in the rankings and only has Humphries ahead of him.
