Boris Krcmar is into the third round of the PDC
World Darts Championship for the first time in his career after downing Dirk van Duijvenbode 3-1.
It was the culmination of lots of big stage potential from the big Croatian who has always threatened to produce but has either lost with huge averages or not quite got there. But against the Dutchman he got there and now returns after Christmas to face Gary Anderson.
"I am very happy, this is the first time I win second round after five times in the World Championship. I go to third round and I am very happy," said Krcmar post match.
"I know if I play my game, I can beat anybody. If I not play good, I can lose to anybody. But today I play good, I feel good and I win."
Van Duijvenbode has an ongoing shoulder injury but despite knowing that, he always stuck to the game plan. "I know he has a problem with shoulder. But I play my best game, win and I'm happy."
He also had his wife watching and was emotional as he said that she would also be back 100% in the next round. “First time I win second round and first time my wife watch me and I win and I am happy.”
