Leonard Gates continued his superb run of form with a 6-4 win over Devon Petersen at the
World Series of Darts Finals with more opportunities at the Grand Slam of Darts and PDC World Championship also incoming.
"I can definitely say this is one of the best years as far as dart wise goes and I guess life wise goes because the opportunities, the doors are opening and it feels great. I sit back sometimes and soak it in because I'm in disbelief," said Gates to Darts World.
Having attended both Q-Schools multiple times, Gates will head to Germany next year to attempt to join the tour with everything on site making for better preparation.
"I think I'm going to play the European Q-School because it was my element. I don't have to go anywhere, I can stay there and play. I can eat breakfast, do what you need to do but I will definitely be back at Q-School."
But continuing in Amsterdam, he will next play James Wade and gives his take on that tie.
"I've been watching James Wade play these last couple of months and he's been playing awesome. My goal is to get better prepared for him and see if I can get a better start and more consistency. He's a tough one."
