Guyanese darter Sudesh Fitzgerald on course for return to World Darts Championships

Last weekend, the first season of the Championship Darts Latin America and Caribbean (CDLC) Tour kicked off. Through a cycle of four tournaments, darters from South America and Latin America compete for a spot at the World Darts Championship.

The first two tournaments were played in the Costa Rican city of San Jose. The field of participants consisted mainly of darters from Costa Rica, supplemented by some players from Chile, Panama, Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Guyana.
In the end, it was two contestants from Guyana who managed to claim the leading roles. The first tournament was won by Norman Madhoo, who defeated his compatriot Sudesh Fitzgerald 6-3 in the final.
The two darters from Guyana then met in the second tournament at the last sixteen. This time Fitzgerald prevailed 6-5. Fitzgerald then made it to the final match again, brushing aside Alex Gutierrez 6-2.

- This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!! The sport is about every player,not 1 who everyone seems to have put the sport on the map.,which he hasn't,he's just got in when the money is massive. - I mean look, Littler's picture is first,wattimena is second and he won! Level it up. I know littler is fantastic,but the sport was here before him,and will be when he's retired.
