Haupai Puha will make an appearance at the World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in December after winning the Oceanic Masters on Sunday.

Puha emerged victorious at the qualifying tournament in Warilla, which featured 44 participants. In the final, he kept defending champion Mal Cuming from the overall victory.

The New Zealander made it to the final after wins over Bailey Marsh (2-0 in sets), Joe Comito (2-1) and Jeremy Fagg (3-1), among others. The final awaited Cuming, who had defeated Stu Irwin (2-0) and Hipirini Te Whaakaara (3-2), among others.

Puha fell behind 0-2 in the first set of the final, but still managed to win the set 3-2 thanks to a 102 finish. Set two was also a 3-2 win for Puha thanks to 94, 68 and 121 finishes.

Cuming then made things somewhat exciting by winning the third set 3-1. However, the Australian was unable to push through in the fourth set, leaving the win 3-1 to Puha.
