Peter Wright edged out Cameron Menzies 6-5 to seal a spot in Saturday's action at the Czech Darts Open and end his hopes of European Championship qualification.

Wright spoke afterwards and praised the crowd mainly as he returns as defending champion this week and will hope to be the winner again in Prague.
"He'd hit a big score and get back into the leg and then punish me. What a crowd, they're fantastic. You guys, it's a pleasure to play in front of you," said Wright post match.
"Cammy's beaten me the last two times in the Europeans. He's a fantastic darts player and I knew it was going to be a tough game. The crowd helped me here to get through so thank you so much."
"I liked the crowd at the beginning saying Scotland get battered. Two Scots are playing each other. One's got to get battered. Hopefully they enjoyed the game and I look forward to tomorrow."
Next up is Martin Schindler. In their record, the MC said he has a disgusting record as he has played 13 times and sealed 12 wins. But he takes credit ironically for the darting rise of Schindler.
"Look how much he's improved. For German darts, he's fantastic. He's won two Europeans. It was down to me, I told him to switch to a longer point so it's my fault."
