Stephen Bunting didn't fail to impress in his opening game at the
Gibraltar Darts trophy on Friday. The 37 year old knocked out Daryl Gurney beating the Northern Irishman 6-3 with a very convincing performance.
However Daryl Gurney didn't make it easy for Bunting as he got himself an impressive 98.87 average meaning the Englishman would have to put on an incredible performance to win - which he did.
Bunting got himself a 105.31 average which was evidently needed to beat an in form Daryl Gurney. 'The Bullet's' spectacular performance saw 4 180's and a 121 checkout from the individual.
However this isn't just a one off from Bunting as the World No.20's win against Gurney was the sixth of his last ten ranking tournament matches to have an average of 100+ (excluding the double in format).
