"It was a flat hand slap. A bitch-slap" - Danny van Trijp on his viral video of Kim Huybrechts and Mike De Decker fighting

The video in which a furious Kim Huybrechts wants to attack his compatriot Mike De Decker continues to stir up emotions. Danny van Trijp, filmed the video in question, realizes this.

On Tuesday, a video appeared in which Huybrechts got into a fight with De Decker. Before that, he had dealt a blow to De Decker. "In my eyes, it was not a slap I gave Mike," Huybrechts responded to the podcast Double Top. "I understand the video was from Danny van Trijp. A darter who is in the same management as De Decker. He also did it with premeditation. In the clip, you can hear people asking him if he was filming it. That says it all. He then threw it into a WhatsApp group with all Dutch pro darters. With that he immediately causes me image damage."

The maker of the video in question reacted to Sportnieuws.nl on the whole fuss and also on the battle that preceded the video. "With that, Huybrechts is really trying to justify it. It was definitely not a push in the face," he said.

"Again, I don't want to say it was with a fist, but it was more than that 'push in the face,' as Huybrechts calls it," he said. "It was a flat hand slap. A bitch-slap. And a hard one, too. It wasn't like it hurt Mike a whole lot, but it was a hard slap."

"I also didn't expect it to go so viral," Van Trijp continued. "Mike asked me if I would forward the video. He wanted to send it to the PDC to prove what Huybrechts did. I then sent it into a group app of our management and within two hours everyone had it. I also got all messages from Holland, Belgium and even England, from people who wanted the video. I didn't send it beyond that one group app. But if you got a video like that, you'd probably forward it too, that's how it goes."

Van Trijp has been friends with De Decker for some time. "I have nothing against Kim, but I side with Mike in such a discussion. I maybe shouldn't have done it, but I don't regret it. My friend Mike wanted that video as proof and I provided it. Huybrechts just shouldn't do things like that. But then again, it wasn't my intention for Huybrechts to have the whole darting world all over him. I didn't walk around with the clip."
