The UK Open is one of the most enjoyable PDC tournaments on the calendar. Because of the open draw, the event has a slightly different format than other televised tournaments, and this tournament often guarantees surprising results and even winners.
Indeed, the past seven editions of the UK Open have been won by seven different players. Four of them (Peter Wright, Nathan Aspinall, Danny Noppert and Andrew Gilding) even won their first major in Minehead.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
