Dave Chisnall has convincingly qualified for the fourth round of the
World Darts Championship. 'Chizzy' defeated Gabriel Clemens 4-1.
Despite the win, Chisnall was not entirely satisfied. "Disappointed to be fair," he admits in his post-match press conference. "I played okay in patches but my darts are not running straight, they're like tilting to the left and it's frustrating because I don't know what is going on."
In Chisnall's side of the draw, Nathan Aspinall was out quickly. "You could say it's an opportunity but like I say to to everybody, my family, my mates... There's no bad dart player out there. If you don't perform or you have an off game, you're not going to be in the tournament long."
Chizzy hasn't had the best year at majors with plenty of early exits. "Talk about me having bad runs I don't mind. I've played bad on TV, but I've pulled it back on the floor and the Europeans," answers back the Englishman.
In a possible quarterfinal, Chisnall will meet his compatriot Luke Humphries. "I refuse to look too far ahead," insists Chizzy. "My next match is against Daryl Gurney or Ricky Evans, that's all that matters for now."
