Last year's losing finalist Joe Cullen admits he's barely watched the 2023 Premier League: "It always clashes with Emmerdale or Coronation Street"

Losing finalist at the Premier League Darts twelve months ago, Joe Cullen was heartbroken to have missed out on selection this time around. As such, 'the Rockstar' admits he's found it hard to watch this year's campaign.

"It was one of those, I was gutted not to be in but a couple of weeks after it's gone," Cullen revealed to Online Darts after the Armageddon exhibition.

As seen in a PDC Documentary, Michael van Gerwen, the man who defeated Joe Cullen in last year's final actually tried to facetime 'the Rockstar' from the opening night of this year's event but as he admits himself, it was too soon. "I said leave it a couple of weeks. It's still a sore wound," he laughs. "I think he's facetimed me three times when the Premier League has been on so it's all good fun he doesn't mean anything by it."

"Like I say I was gutted for the first couple of weeks that the Premier League was on, after that there was nothing I could do about it so you know, good luck to the boys that are in," he continues. "Last night (Thursday 18th of May) was the first match I've watched. It always clashes with Emmerdale or Coronation Street and stuff like that so I don't bother watching it."
