The deadline is coming up for 2021 PDC Q-School and there are already over 600 players set to take part in UK and European Q-School combined.
Players wishing to be involved have until Monday January 18 at 14:00 GMT to complete their entry with Q-School now set to take place this year between February 7-16 in Milton Keynes and Niedernhausen.
Entries for UK Q-School are above 400 meaning that the First Stage will comprise two blocks of three days due to Covid restrictions.
While in European Q-School, over 200 players have entered so far and while it won't be split as of yet, it could also comprise of two blocks if entries exceed over 256.
That means the PDC has collected more than 270,000 pounds in entry fees. I'm pretty sure after overhead and administrative costs, enough money would be left over that the PDC could provide same day on-demand video for those of us that don't like to or won't get up at 4AM (or earlier) for afternoon sessions in the UK/Europe.

- I agree. There needs to be a points system and preferably just a rolling one year. World Championship should earn the most points though it can be argued that the current qualification system does see a fair few players qualify from regional country qualifiers who would struggle to hold down a place on the Pro Tour. If prize money won is going to remain as the determining factor for ranking then the World Championship should just consist of the 128 Tour Card Holders. Another option would be to take the World Championship out of the rankings and have it as the stand alone pinnacle that you qualify for by winning certain tournaments or your ranking position, sort of like a GSOD+.Mysstree05-04-2025
