To start the week, Monday (June 21)’s removal of restrictions was shelved for four more weeks by the UK Government which asked questions regarding the World Matchplay which was expected to have a full crowd.
These have now been answered in an update given by the PDC.
They are working with the DCMS (Department for Culture, Media and Sport) as well as the venue and relevant partners to determine the capacity of each session.
With restrictions not lifted till at least July 19, a limited capacity has been mooted by the PDC for Saturday July 17 and Sunday July 18 which will be confirmed shortly, with the hope that it will host a full crowd following that.
