Gerwyn Price left the stage disillusioned, after losing in the quarter-finals of the PDC World Darts Championship against Michael Smith.
The Welshman, who threw a nine-darter earlier in the match and missed two match darts in the eighth set, lost 5-4 to his English opponent. During the match, Price also caused a remarkable moment by by ensuring that a visitor was sent out of Alexandra Palace.
Price had the crowd against him again. The fans were booing and whistling when The Iceman was throwing. ''Cheats'', the world number one wrote on Instagram to vent his frustrations.
Price later came up with a more detailed response. ''Absolutely gutted to go out in the last 8 of the World Championships. Having worked so hard in the last few months, so proud of myself for just being me and playing the best I can, even with all the hurdles in front of me. I will get stronger, I will come back better, I will practice harder, I will sacrifice more (and) I will succeed. I will do everything it takes to be the best. I will be back. Class is permanent'', he added.

If Gerwin Price didn't rile the crowd up so much they would have nothing to banter him about, Jack Wilson used to do the same, then spat the dummy out when he didn't like it, so goose and the gander comes to mind.

Same goes for Paul Nicholson and Ted Hankey. There is one thing booing a player and hurling abuse though.
