This week
Ricky Evans has been speaking to 'Tungsten Tales' ahead of the PDC World Darts Championships and he seems excited to say the least.
Evans isn't going to Alexandra Palace with a lack of experience the Englishman has played on the big stage before and here's what he had to say about his most memorable World Championship moment.
“It has to
be the Simon Whitlock comeback at the 2015 Worlds I was 2-0 down. He needs two darts to
whitewash me and then next thing you know it’s one of the greatest comebacks in
Ally Pally history. If I could bottle up that emotion - I’d keep that forever.”
Every darts fan knows how special the Worlds Darts Championships is and Evans spoke about why it is so spectacular to play there in front of the crowd.
“Its Christmas,
it’s the one that everyone watches it’s the one that everyone dresses up for…
and It’s the one I always bring my family to.”
When asked how he would describe the crowd he responded with this very short but fitting response.
“Noisy,
festivy and absolutely Bonkers”
Evans is hoping to be more successful this time around after he lost Daryl Gurney 3-1 in the last 64 in the previous year, The 32 year old spoke to 'Tungsten Tales' about what he wants to achieve in this years event.
“I want to still be in after Christmas because it has been a while
since I’ve been that far. I think knocking the seed out would be a big thing
for me because I usually win the first round and lose to the seed every year.”
When asked who he thought would win, he gave the response that every one would expect from Ricky 'Rapid' Evans.
“I’m going to say myself because ethers no point going if I
don’t believe.”
