Will it be a fifth title for England at the World Cup of Darts, or will a new country be added to the honors list. This question will be answered on Sunday evening.
England won the tournament in 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2016. It has now been four years since the nation was in the final at the World Cup of Darts. Rob Cross and Michael Smith can put an end to that streak against the Belgian duo Kim Huybrechts and Dimitri van den Bergh.
Belgium is into the semi-finals for a sixth time in ten editions. Kim Huybrechts even reached the final in 2013 with his brother Ronny Huybrechts, as they became runner-up against England.
The second semi-final is between Wales and Germany. Wales was already in the final of this tournament in 2010 and 2017, but then lost each time to the Netherlands. That Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton do not play against the Netherlands in this tournament is due to the Germans. Max Hopp and Gabriel Clemens managed to beat Michael van Gerwen and Danny Noppert in the last eight and brought Germany into his first ever semi-final at the World Cup of Darts.
