Sebastian Bialecki closes Challenge Tour season with title win in Leicester

The final tournament of the PDC Challenge Tour 2024 has been won by Sebastian Bialecki. The Pole won the 24th event of the Challenge Tour season by dealing with Ted Evetts in a thrilling final.

The Pole, who also took a Development Tour title earlier this year, made it to the final after wins over Grant Brown (5-1), Peter Burgoyne (5-4), Jaikob Selby-Rivas (5-2), Martin Grearson (5-2), Callum Francis (5-4) and Adam Paxton (5-3). Evetts had successively defeated Lee Grace (5-3), Daniel Ayres (5-3), Andreas Harrysson (5-1) Pal Szekely (5-3), John Henderson (5-4) and Darryl Pilgrim (5-3).

In the final, Bialecki was the better man against Evetts, but failed to break the Englishman. In three of the four legs Evetts won, Bialecki missed several chances on the doubles. In his own legs, however, Bialecki managed to find the doubles, making it 5-4 for Bialecki.
