Despite not finishing in the top two of the PDC Women’s Series,
Fallon Sherrock will play in the PDC
World Darts Championship after all with one of the TBC qualifier spots being confirmed as the Women’s World Matchplay winner going forward.
Sherrock won the tournament back in July with only a Grand Slam of Darts spot on offer at the time but now it will hold double the prestige and reward with three players now making it through the Women’s Series system.
This year saw Beau Greaves snatch the final spot winning the final eight tournaments with Sherrock missing out in dramatic circumstances but she will now join her and Lisa Ashton at the Ally Pally where her main success came in 2020.
"That was a wonderful day for me and I'm proud to have won, and it's great that I will now get to go back to Ally Pally,” said Sherrock.
"The PDC have done amazing things for women's darts in recent years and that's given us players a platform to play at the highest level."
Also announced as part of the 24 tournaments on the PDC
Women's Series in 2023, each tournament will have £10,000 in prize money on offer, double that of 2022. For the winner of each Women's Series tournament there will then be a cheque for £2,000, possibly as the winners on the Challenge and Development Tour.
