Smith produces emphatic whitewash win over Telnekes, Durrant safely through with victory over Kurz

Michael Smith and Glen Durrant are successfully through to the final day of action at the European Darts Grand Prix after opening wins over Derk Telnekes and Nico Kurz.

Smith smashed Telnekes in a 6-0 whitewash win with a 103.6 average to boot. Stats wise, he also hit two 180's and 6/14 on the doubles. While for Telnekes, he was well adrift with an 80 average and 0/4 on his doubles.

Durrant who of course became Premier League champion on Thursday night returned to action with victory over home hope Kurz.

He hit three 180's and 60% on the doubles to cement his place in the Last 16. In a week of firsts, could it be a maiden European Tour title for 'Duzza'?
