Michael Smith is through to the World Matchplay Quarter-Finals after recovering from 9-6 down to see off Mensur Suljovic.

Smith spoke afterwards and was relieved to move through after a game he admitted he struggled in at times. "I'm happy, I'm over the moon and for a game I struggled in so much then and to come out winning. I hit a few big shots while he was sat on doubles," said Smith post-match to Online Darts.
"I just didn't want to go home. Junior is off school for six weeks and he's been a nightmare through lockdown. I think I proved I can fight for the last three years."
