Ratajski will now face Michael Smith in a section of the draw; which with the exit of Michael van Gerwen has been blown wide open; he was very pleased to make it this far. “I’m very happy after such a close game. To win when it is such a close match is very good," said Ratajski post-match to Online Darts.
He was asked whether he thinks his form is at it's peak at the moment; he said an alteration to his darts has helped: "Maybe not this evening, I changed my darts; it's a bit heavier and it's better for me." In terms of that Van Gerwen defeat, Ratajski believes it has proven a point about this tournament: "No-one is unbeatable, we see it today. He didn't play his best, Simon played a very good game."
